 The Three Star Bushed side weir screen has been designed for storm overflow applications and can be of the ‘C’ or ‘D’ type and feature cam operated wipers.
The curved screen plate is manufactured from polypropylene brushes mounted on 2 or 4 rotating arms which are attached to the drive shaft. The drive shaft being supported in roller bearing pedestals.
 The brushes are cleaned by a pivoted wiper, positioned so as to drop the screenings back into the flow. After cleaning, the wiper is lowered to its rest position by a roller and cam arrangement which ensures smooth and positive operation and reduces the maintenance usually associated with cushioned stops and/or dampers. The roller and cam arrangement has the additional advantage of allowing reverse operation of the screen without the need to manually lift the wiper.
