 In the early 1990's, Adams Hydraulics began to develop a unique relationship with MEVA Maskiner AB in Sweden to produce a range of fine bar stepped inlet screens. Since that time, Adams has successfully installed hundreds of cleverly designed fine bar screens across the UK, providing total solutions in a variety of onerous applications. Screens are available with the 1mm, 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, and 6mm bar spacings. Standard material of construction is 304 stainless steel, with 316, and higher grades available for onerous applications. In addition to screening sewage, these screens have successfully been used to screen tannery and distillery effluent.
To complement the screens a range of screenings handling equipment is also available, which includes Screw Conveyors, the Screw Press, and the Screw Wash Press. These can convey, compact and wash screenings to suit most applications. For applications where the raw removed screenings are particularly dirty the Screw Wash Press can be upgraded by fitting a Counter Pressure Screw in stead of the standard press (discharge) pipe. This provides greater washing and compacting and has been developed to allow the discharged screenings to be incinerated.
Complete installations including control panels and site cabling can be undertaken, including modification of existing electrical installations.
